So far we have distributed nearly 90,000 bags of shopping to our hackney community, and this foundational initiative has bought so much joy and purpose to our huge team of local people gifting their time and skills.

there’s been amazing recognition of the RISe365 young leaders who not only help co-run the shop, unloading and packing stock, but also deliver to elders on the kingsmead estate.

we’ve also added a over 50’s social club every wednesday, with additional weight training and local trips project beginning in the new year. Additional plans for Community Batch Cooking Sessions are underway.

We are blessed to have the wisdom of elders & youth at Kingsmead Community Shop, of lived experience leaders, creatives, change makers, food creators, business owners, entrepreneurs, parents, caretakers, hope builders, visionaries, and people who believe truly in community and acts of service.

Here’s most of the 50 or so great great people that make up our intergenerational project, gifting over a year of Saturdays to connect, nourish and empower our Hackney neighbours and each other.
